The Chocolate Studio is situated on the 'helter - skelter' road to Riber Castle in Matlock, on the edge of the Peak district. While working with chocolate, you'll be able to enjoy the Panoramic views of Matlock - Matlock Bath - Heights of Abraham Cable cars - and the hills towards Chatsworth. But be careful not to spill any chocolate while doing so. The courses are ideal as a Gift to a 'chocoholic', or if you've always been curious how all things chocolate work, or to further your skills in chocolate work. We offer a few different 1 and 2 day 'hands-on' courses, lessons are also adapted according to season Please note that I do Not currently teach how to make Chocolate Wedding Cakes! Beginners course 1 day 9.00am - 4.00pm £150.00 per person per day (Max. 2 pers.) After an esspresso and short introduction, you'll be tempering chocolate, piping chocolate ganache, enrobing and moulding chocolate and of course tasting. You'll be going home with all your own created chocolates to 'share' with your friends and family? 2 Day Chocolate course 9.00am - 4.00pm £275.00 per person for both days (Max. 2 pers.) After an esspresso and introduction, you'll be tempering different chocolates, making ganaches, making nougat dur and/or caramalise nuts, piping chocolates, making and filling moulds, hand roll chocolate curls, make chocolate roses and not to forget taste chocolate. You'll be going home with all your own created chocolates to 'share'with your friends and Family? 1 Day Choc work-shop with a Personal touch 9.00am - 4.00pm from £150.00 per person per day (Max. 2 pers.) A special course specifically created around your requirements. I.E: to enhance your presentations, help with tempering, ganaches etc. * From 2009 there will be the chance to learn how to make chocolate Sculptures! Info on this to follow in due course.
