M1 jct.25 Nottingham/Derby follow A52 Derby, at Derby follow A6 Matlock - at Cromford (just before Matlock) turn RIGHT at the traffic lights - follow road PAST Arkwrights Mill, go over little bridge in bend of the road, just over the bridge turn LEFT into Willersley Lane, follow road to top past the WHITE LION PUB you find an acute SHARP RIGHT turn take this turning, this road is called Riber Road (please take care as this is a VERY steep hill 20%) - we live past the SECOND SHARP bend on the left hand site, it is the second detached cottage, with blue railings, yellow clogs on the wall next to the front door and a Frisian Flag hanging at the front. You can park under the stone wall. You can park under the stone wall. 2)From Nottingham-North A610 Alternative route recommended during Bank Holidays and Summer time w/ends. follow A610 to Ripley/Ambergate/Matlock at traffic lights Lower Hartshay (Nr. Excavator Restaurant) turn RIGHT onto the A6013 towards Oakerthorpe at Oakerthorpe take left turn onto A615 Wessington/Matlock. At Tansley on A615 turn LEFT into Alders Lane for RIBER (this is Opp. Royal Oak Pub - and next to Lorna Cross 'Lots of Pots') this road changes into Carr Lane. In front of Riber Hall at Triangle junction turn LEFT into Riber Road (please take care as this road turns into a VERY steep down-hill 20%) - we live past the THIRD SHARP bend on the right hand site, it is the second detached cottage, with blue railings, yellow clogs on the wall next to the front door and a 'Frisian Flag’ hanging at the front. You can park under the stone wall. M1 from The North. M1 jct.29 Chesterfield/Mansfield follow A6175 Clay Cross, in Clay Cross follow A61 towards Alfreton after approx. 1 - 2 miles turn RIGHT at Stretton into B6036 towards Ashover after a few miles take B6014 to Tansley at T-junction follow A615 towards Matlock, in Tansley take LEFT turning to RIBER (there is also a tourist sign for Riber Hall Hotel) follow this road all the way to Riber village, at triangle - in front of Riber Hall Hotel turn LEFT into RIBER ROAD. Follow this road down the hill, (please take care as this is a VERY steep hill 20%). We live past the 3rd SHARP bend on the RIGHT hand site. It is a detached cottage, with blue railings, yellow clogs on the wall next to the front door and a Frisian Flag hanging at the front. You can park under the stone wall. Direct from South Sheffield & Chesterfield follow A61 to Matlock, all the way down to Matlock Green (Horse Shoe Pub is on your left, Total petrol station across the road), at this junction cross the road into Church street - leading into Starkholmes Road - follow this road PAST the VILLAGE HALL & just past the small village POST OFFICE take the left hand turn into RIBER ROAD (please take care as this is a VERY steep hill - 20%), - we live past the SECOND SHARP bend on the left hand site, it is the second detached cottage, with blue railings, yellow clogs on the wall next to the front door and a Frisian Flag hanging at the front. You can park under the stone wall. From A6 Manchester/Buxton/Bakewell There is now a new roudabout just before Matlock FOLLOW the sign for Matlock Town CENTRE then follow A6 into Matlock town centre, at 'Crown Square' (roundabout) take second exit - you'll go past Boots the Chemist and Woolworth's, go ahead at new roundabout, keep following the main road past football grounds on left and The Park on right, till you get to a X-junction in Matlock Green (Mr Tyre is on your right and the Total Petrol station is past the turning) turn RIGHT at this junction into Church street - leading into Starkholmes Road - follow this road PAST the VILLAGE HALL & just past the small village POST OFFICE take the left hand turn into RIBER ROAD (please take care as this is a VERY steep hill - 20%), - we live past the SECOND SHARP bend on the left hand site, it is the second detached cottage, with blue railings, yellow clogs on the wall next to the front door and a Frisian Flag hanging at the front.
